Information the application handles

The application collects legal name, date of birth, unique email address, password hashes, course enrollment and progress records, assessment responses and results, completion attestations, certificate records, contact inquiries, and limited audit information such as timestamps, IP address, and user agent. Date of birth and audit information are private account and administrator data and do not appear on certificates. The application does not collect Social Security numbers, government-ID images, driver-license images, selfies, facial or biometric information, or physical location. It does not store payment card numbers; Stripe handles checkout.

How information is used

Information is used to provide and authenticate individual accounts, verify email ownership, process and verify orders, track course participation, grade assessments, record completion certification, issue eligible certificates, answer inquiries, prevent abuse, and operate the service.

Service providers

Stripe processes payments, and the configured email service sends transactional messages. Hosting and database providers process application data as necessary to operate the service.

Security and choices

Passwords are hashed, email-verification tokens are hashed and expire, browser state changes use CSRF protection, and private student records require authentication. Successful course completion, examination, identity-attestation, and certificate records are retained for at least three years. Students may ask about access or correction through the contact methods below.
